A Garden Rose is nothing more than a shrub with flowers on it. If you can garden, you can grow roses. This blog is about demystifying that roses are fussy and difficult plants to grow. Join us here and on our Rose Care You Tube Channel and learn that in fact Roses Are Plants Too.

Read this & I agree- I also like roses to fill in together; though I would recommend a quick trip to HelpMeFind.com to look at photos of the particular plant in question beforehand (Often, you get a new rose, ex. Phyllis Bide, that comes in a 3" band, then within a year she's 6 feet around & you have to move everyone else!) I'm planting Dudley Cross & giving her 6-8 feet...just in case.
ReplyDeleteAlso, on another note- David Austin actually recommends purchasing 3 of the same Austin and planting them 18" apart for a fuller figure, so it couldn't be all bad. :)
